United Abrasives, Inc., a market leader in the manufacturing of bonded and coated abrasive products, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineer with strong technical, manufacturing, and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities:
A qualified candidate will be expected to:
- Oversee quality control functions related to the production of abrasive grain mixes.
- Establish and maintain manufacturing tolerances for bonded abrasive production.
- Support the Quality Control department in verifying consistency and compliance of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Work closely with Quality Control and Production teams on process and product development, as well as continuous improvement initiatives.
Position Requirements:
This is a highly visible role requiring a hands-on approach and a strong presence on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with production teams and coaching manufacturing associates to improve process understanding and adherence to established procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering required.
- 2–5 years of direct manufacturing experience.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
